El Parasol

Mexican Food to go by The Santa Fe Market
When we go to the Santa Fe Farmers’ Market, we sometimes stop at El Parasol for breakfast. This isn’t a fancy place; there aren’t even any tables. This is strictly a take-out joint, but the food is some of the best New Mexican food to be found in northern New Mexico.
What should I eat at El Parasol?
The breakfast burrito is always a winner. Whether you choose red or green chile you won’t make a mistake. The red is smoky with just the right amount of heat; the green is richly flavorful as well. The burrito is generously filled; you won’t be hungry again for quite a few hours.
If it’s not breakfast time, there are quite a few other items on the menu. For lunch we love their green chile cheeseburger and have been known to drive up the road just to satisfy our craving for one. Their Frito pie is outstanding and green chile cheese fries make my mouth water just thinking about them.
Where is El Parasol Located?
Located on Cerrillos Road across from the El Rey, El Parasol is a great place for breakfast, lunch or a hearty snack. The price tag won’t break your budget either.
