Adrienne’s Pizzabar

Review by: billyboy, Roadfood Team

Recently, my girlfriend and I ordered pizza from Adrienne’s Pizzabar. They estimated a wait time of about an hour, but I’d heard so many good things about the restaurant that I had to give it a try. To our amazement, the pizza arrived in under 30 minutes!

We tried the cheese pizza, Romana Pizza and the Eggplant Rolatini.  As soon as I opened the box of cheese pizza, a mouth-watering aroma wafted out. It was the most visually appealing pizza I’ve had in ages, with a crispy, perfectly browned crust and large, brown and bubbly slices of fresh mozzarella. The sauce was seasoned with oregano and possibly other fragrant herbs, and the end result was divine. I happily savored every bite, with my favorite being the corner piece. The crust offered the perfect snap when I bit into it, and the center was cooked to perfection, with a wonderful chewy texture reminiscent of freshly baked focaccia.

Every bite had a hint of olive oil and herbs, and it was dubbed an “Old Fashioned” pizza had 10 slices, I’m good for about four myself, but I could have easily devoured the entire pizza if my girlfriend wasn’t there to share a few slices! While not as dense as a traditional Sicilian pie, it was remarkably light considering its thickness.

I’m looking forward to returning to Adrienne’s Pizzabar for another wonderful pizza. It’s difficult to find great pizza slices around Manhattan, but this place has definitely earned a spot on my list of favorites.
