About 2 weeks ago I went to Western MD, PA and WV WW rafting and checking out the area. Wanted to report back on the eats on the way.

Cookie from Cathedral Cafe in Fayetteville, WV. Oatmeal raisin and it hit the spot.
Lunch – Ritzy Lunch, Clarksburg, WV. Had a hot dog with mustard , chili and onions and the Giovanni burger- burger on garlic toast with peppers and cheese. Highly recommend. Went To Olivero’s peppers and picked up some peppers to tak home. Got to sample the olives.
Found pepperoni rolls at the local grocer (Shop and Save) in Fairmont, WV after striking out at Country CLub Bakery. Had one as an afternoon snack. Was able to find the Country Club rolls at Shop n Save.

Went to Amish bakery out HWy 135 in Oakland, MD and had fresh made donut. Very good. Also bought cookies which I had later that night -some stuffed with coconut and some stuffed with peanut butter.
Breakfast was purchased at Canoe on the Run in Deep Creek Lake, MD. Had egg sandwich with lettuce, roasted peppers on pumpernickel bread. Very good. Got a chicken sandwich for lunch to go. Had a great rafting day on the Upper Yough with Upper Yough Expeditions.
On the way out of Friendsville, MD stopped at a convenience store and purchased a wedgie which is basically sandwich fillings (turky, cheese, lettuce, tomato, peppers) between 2 pieces of pizza dough bread. It was pretty good when I had this after a late night at the local tavern on Sunday night.
Had dinner at Menard’s in Clarksburg, WV -spaghetti and meatballs with salad with homemade Italian dressing. Pretty good but not out of this world.

No breakfast except for an apple.
Lunch of sandwiches with Class VI during a great rafting trip on the Upper Gauley river.
Afternoon snack of a few wings at Chetty’s Pub at Class VI. Monday is Wing night there (3 for $ 1.00) cool while watching the video of your rafting trip.
Dinner at Sedona Grill – outstanding NY strip with carrots, sweet potato fies and salad. Highly recommend this place. The NY Strip was seasoned with garlic, salt and pepper. Outstanding. Best meal on the trip.
