2nd day was crap, crap, crap. I said I would tell you even if I did $25.00. It seems as if I under estimated my low end. I did exactly $21.50. Actually 50 cents of that was my first 2 tips. Oh, did I mention, crap! In case there was some worry about me getting the big head, I think we can put that to rest.I might want to hold off on buying that new Mercedes just to pull my cart, ya think? Only had two city employees come out, very little foot traffic. Nobody came back and said, oh, I just have to have another one of them great dogs I had yesterday. On the bright side, I handled all the rushes with the skill of a surgeon! Rushes? Like when I actually sold two dogs in one hour. Crap. Hope I don’t get thrown off this site for the emotional outbursts. Note to moderator: Please bear with me during these tough times, even if I can’t sell dogs, I want to be able to talk to my friends that actually can. If you threw me off that would be crap!
OK, enough crying. One of the city employees that came out just happened to be the guy who handles all the athletic events for parks and recreation. He was the guy I was told to see about all parks and rec events. Didn’t even know I was out front. Ask how long I’d been in the biz, I said counting today, 2 days. Liked my cart and gave me permission to set up monday and thursday evenings at a baseball park that had no food. One is kids league, other is church league. Said he also had some sunday events and some bigger tourneys coming up. Said I could start this thursday. Even said I could drive across the grass to get my cart on a concrete slab next to field. That is definately not crap. Also had message on my phone to call girl that sets up events at a big shopping center. They want my cart for July 1-4 10 AM to 8 PM. They set up a giant fireworks stand and show with a kids fun zone. Promised I would be only mobile vendor. I think that also falls into the non-crap category. Anyway day two is done, three to go. At least it’s been full of activity. $21.50-pffffffft.
Edit: I agreed to pay 10% for the July event. Does that seem OK?
