Where I live, Conway, SC, is an old town, with stately old Oak trees.
They are everywhere, with moss hanging low, and they reek of the south.
The city of Conway loves their trees, and in the downtown area, they build roads around them instead of either cutting them down, or re-locating them. Grand old homes, with beautiful landscaped and manicured lawns and gardens are the highlight of the annual "old home" tour. Many homes are on the cities historical register, and once a year, they open to the public. They have markers in front to show you which way the tour goes.
I took some photos to show a couple of the streets where they have left the trees, and you have to manuever around them. Traffic has to stop in one direction so the other side can go by.
I just wanted to share a bit of nature left intact, and rightfully respected!
Sorry about the quality of the photos..I thought they were bigger, and showed the depth better..
