Yesterday morning found us in Byron IL(SW of Rockford, on the way to I88). We found a great breakfast spot, The Sweden Pancake House on 2nd Ave. On top of crepe style Swedish cakes with lingonberries, we enjoyed outstanding potato pancakes, crisp, a hint of onion, and served with sour cream and apple sauce. Crisp bacon and hot coffee completed a roadfood surprise—we recommend this spot off the beaten track and now remember how much we enjoy swedish pancakes. Any other such pancake spots out there???
