Dad bought my Mom her Chambers Range sometime in the early 1950s. If I recall correctly it was either a ’51 or ’52. I’ve seen few others since that can develop the heat a Chambers can for frying or canning. It had a grill on the surface you could cook on or raise and lower to broil under it. There was also a well for deep frying.
I bought my own (first) wife a similar one years later, though it was considered an antique by then. Are there any similar love affairs with ranges out there?
