About halfway between St. Louis and Memphis is a little town called Sikeston, Mo just off Hwy 55. There is no earthly reason to go there except to eat at Lamberts, the home of the throwed rolls. People will drive in specially from far places just to eat there, and the airport runs a shuttle there, so folks can get it to go. They really do throw you your rolls, and they are good! Then they walk around with big pots of side dishes like macaroni and tomatoes, and fried okra. By the time you get your dinner, you’re stuffed. The main dishes are BBQ and fried chicken, but the best part for me is those big soft homemade rolls.[:p]
