Well, it couldn’t have been a more beautiful day. Although our group was small, we all had great food, great company and a great time.

We started our day at Jiggers Diner in East Greenwich. We all ordered the Johnnycakes with the exception of Steve, Bethgrd’s husband who ordered the Monte Cristo Sandwich served on cinammon bread. I actually ordered the Jigger’s special, but asked for canadian bacon instead of the diner made sausage which although is very good, I thought would be a little too much considering all stops we were considering for the day.

Here’s all 5 of us at Jigger’s- clockwise yours truly, Steve (Bethgrd’s Husband) Bethgrd(Beth) and Ayersian (Chris & Amy)

After Jigger’s we walked around East Greenwich’s quaint main street and stopped at the local bakery, Sweet Temtations, I believe that Chris and Steve both got a couple of pastry’s to take home with them

It was then off to Allie’s Donuts. It’s no wonder that Southern New England is the "Donut Capital of the nation" these donuts are huge, delicious and fresh!

Well look at this !

We then headed out to Point Judith to check out some of the clam shacks on the Beach. After hanging out on the beach for a bit, we headed over to George’s of Galillee. Although I’ve had better stuffie’s at some of the local bars and taverns, George’s probably has the best stuffies out of all of the local clamshacks I’ve been to and that’s what we came here for!

For our last and final stop we walked across the street to Champlin’s recently reviewed by the Sterns. We all got the fried clams. The clams were crunchy and had that oceanic quality that only whole bellied clams have to offer

After Champlin’s we were too stuffed to go anywhere else.
It was great meeting everyone and we hope to make this an annual event, perhaps next year in Connecticut!
