My dad was a Marine and we had
this all the time. One of my favorite dishes. He would brown hamburger meat and onion. He then would add flour and let it cook to get rid of the raw flour taste and give it some color. Then he would put milk or water in it.Let it thicken up, salt and pepper to taste. Serve this over toast and fry up an egg. YUM YUM !!!!! I love fixing this but my hubby won’t eat it. So I fix it for myself!!!
But I love to make sausage gravy and put it on grits!!! Oh my goodness!!!!
