Anyone care to share some personal comments, reviews, etc. of Scott’s Sauce. It’s Eastern North Carolina(Goldsboro) style vinegar and pepper thin mix. Link:
All I can say is that I have Q Sauce addict friends all over the world(New York, LA, Miami, Hawaii, Australia, Berlin, London, etc.) and this is probably the least expensive sauce I’ve ever introduced them to, but was always an immediate favorite to the point they began ordering cases of it through the Scott’s website.
It surely is addictive.
My brother-in-law, who is a chef in Upstate NY, even took a sample to a chemist friend to get the ingredient breakdown so he could make it at his restaurant.
Outside of NC, I think most Food Lion groceries stock it($1.49 per 16 oz. bottle here in GA).
No-I don’t work for Scott’s. Was just curious if it was held in esteem here. I went to college in Winston-Salem in the mid 80’s for 4 years and never heard of it back then.
And, BTW, the last time I called Scott’s 800# to place an order for a friend Martel Scott answered the phone and we wound up talking about Q for almost 1/2 an hour. Very nice guy. I’m still trying to convince him to add some scott’s t-shirts and caps to his online inventory.
