While my travels have been a little limited, i have been able to buy trudy some roadfood anniversary and birthday gifts by mail order. The Sterns mentioned the Enstrom Candy company of Grand Junction, Colorado as a source for world class chocolate almond toffee. And they were right. The milk chocolate is sweet but not sickeningly so and the crunch is satisfying but not tooth breaking. the entire chips family approved and thinks this is one of the great taste treats ever. The Cranberry Island company of Cumberland, Maine sent us our first Whoopee Pies and they were sensational, rich in their chocolate flavor with the cream and cake fillings a delight. Again a taste treat.
It is nice to experience roadfood even if i can’t get everywhere i would like.
