Service contractors have been doing this for years. It’s not that big of a deal.

yes, it is a big deal.  having to send out over 200 forms – twice (once to get id# and second time to send the 1099) is an extremely big deal to any small business. most especially those that have ONE employee – like the majority of those that have carts.  it’s a ton of extra work for people who are already stretched thin.
 
not to mention it goes against the ‘reduction of paperwork act’.
