the week is looking up, sticking with my normal spot, I moved up a bit to get closer to the business park and more away from the tractor trailers that fly by all day and drop their trailers in front and behind me… Not trying to die… but they are cautious of me and they do wave when they fly by…. The ppl noticed my move, ppl I’ve never served before came to me today and said HEY you moved. Good to be noticed, and even one lady came over bought my Reuben dog and and said the receptionist was so excited to see me that she sent a company wide email saying I was now within walking distance. I had no clue… She came out to me at the end of the day and I thanked her and gave her the requested flier I have on hand.
If that wasn’t awesome enough, I pimped myself out to a business Friday that the big dogs go to all the time, and I’m now going to be paired up with a dessert truck and rotate to 8 different locations in my area to their properties. This is a huge step up, These food trucks are very popular and are well known around town. They get a line of office workers at each location that can be 20-30 deep from 11-3p. I’m excited about that, and just waiting for my schedule.
So far the week is picking up. still selling mid volume of dogs, and not making enough to live on, but it’s coming, and that’s the important part. I followed my dream, I built my cart, I opened my window for the first time, and was so scared, now I’m watching my business grow… and that’s such a mind blowing thing to be able to say… this is a hard way to make a living, now that I’m doing it, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m living my dream. I might not be a millionaire but I’m very happy to see my customers return to get their regulars…
I like your attitude. You stay positive and I can tell your passionate about this biz. I can tell that your aware this doesn’t happen over night. I am pretty darn sure your gonna make it Wild Dog. Just keep up the good personality to the customers and let yourself be seen. Soon you will have to turn down gigs due to being booked. It is like a domino affect. One promoter or gig, leads to another, and so on, and so on. I have to try that Reuben dog! Going to have to make one soon. I also have an ice cream truck that does some events next to me. It is an ice cream truck with a karaoke machine and big screen attached to the side.. They do awesome ice cream sandwiches and stuff.
Keep on keepin on Wild
