Pegnataro wasn’t the owner then. But I did go to school in New Haven with Joey Pegnataro. Back then they owned a supermarket in New Haven. It’s interesting that your mother met Miss Hepburn at Walt’s. My daughter met her there, too. My daughter was living in Old Lyme while her husband was stationed at the sub base (he’s a retired plank owner of the San Juan) and she used to get her meat at Walt’s (and by the way, Walt’s fresh kielbasa is the best I’ve ever had).
