For next January:
THE HUNGRY MUSE An Exploration of Food in Literature
The 29th annual Key West Literary Seminar
January 6 – 16, 2011
The speaker’s list includes Diana Abu-Jaber, Ruth Reichl,  Mark Kurlansky, Madhur Jaffrey, Jonathan Gold, Calvin Trillin and dozens more. See details here:
This event “…will bring together dozens of today s most compelling, thought-provoking, and funniest writers memoirists, novelists, poets, historians, journalists, and all manner of lettered gastronome, gourmand, and epicure to explore food and its place in contemporary literature.”

What a great time for a Southernmost RoadFood meet! Think Key West pinks (shrimp), stone crab, mango, Creole food, Cuban coffee, and real key lime pie…

And my sister just moved down there a while back and wants me to visit–this might be a good time to do that!
