Are shanks the same as hocks? These were ham shanks and they’re much saltier than ham hocks.
They looked good so I got out a bag of limas and dinner is made.
I’ll freeze what is left over, and when I’m ready I’ll add carrots to sweeten it up and maybe some more beans and pasta. Maybe tomatoes or maybe… I’m hoping the broth isn’t as salty as the meat. I ate the beans and a little bit of the meat. SALTY!
