Tonight I’m making salmon.

A funny story……..I made it for the Christmas buffet at Gram’s house…..about 50 people from newborn to 80s. A week or so later my sister calls to say that hubby loved the salmon and how to I make it. I said “Easy, I grease an oven dish, lay it in and put fresh dill, lemon slices and a few pats of butter on top, and bake it until it is just covered in the white stuff that comes out when the salmon is cooked” Her answer was “OH!, it’s the butter!”. I had to laugh. They have that old joke that any thing that can’t be improved with garlic can be improved with chocolate. Well, butter makes things taste great too!     ……and BTW, I only use a few 1/8 inch thick pats of butter.  The fresh dill comes from WalMart. A little package for 1.98 can flavor 3 or 4 different meals over a week’s time, and stays fresh in the produce crisper.
