Saw the orthopedic surgeon today. He says the knee is all arthritis but he wants to put off the knee replacement for as many years as possible since I’m “so young” (which is funny four days after my birthday). We’re trying cortisone shots for now, which will hopefully work. So now I know.

Dinner, I phoned in. Opened a jar of sauerkraut, defrosted a package of Eckrich Polish sausage (and I could hear my guy at the Polish market muttering under his breath the whole time), added some caraway seed, threw it all in a pan and called it good enough.
