This is my first year growing lettuce, but it seems to be going well. I bought two buttercrunch plants and then planted some mixed leaf lettuce seeds that are coming along quite nicely. I put them in a window box liner and they seem very happy there. I guess I’m lucky with bugs, or at least I have been so far (and yes, I did just knock on wood). There are a bunch of spiders that hang out in my little container garden and I also have a couple of toads, so nature seems to be handling bug control for me so far.

This is this year’s garden, from a couple of weeks ago when I first got everything planted. It’s all way bigger now but it’s dark so I can’t get a current picture.

You’re all making me need to make a strawberry pie. Stop it! [:p]
