Roast leg of pork. Now that’s something I haven’t had in a long time. Never even see it in the stores around here.
I never see in the market either, I bought a couple of small fresh hams at Cash & Carry to season a new smoker.
$1.10lb, cant beat the price.
At first when I saw “leg of pork” I was thinking, what the heck? Ah……..I remembered, we call it a fresh ham. My first restaurant job when I got back to the States was in a small hotel that did Sunday brunch. Along with the mandatory steamship of beef we often also carved roasted fresh hams. Soooooooo good! We had a special carving platter just for them…….or regular ham.
