I went to an amazing place for dinner last night. Looking at the menu I was not happy with going there.
It turned out to be a sort of Fusion Middle East restaurant.
The Exchange in Downtown Los Angeles.
Uni to be spread on a flatbread.
The flatbread topped with za’atar, olive oil and sesame seeds
A chili and harissa condiment
Thick Greek type of yogurt, sauteed artichoke hearts, mint and black sesame seeds.
Avocado salad which was extra good! Not sure what the seeds were but they were delicious with the citrus sauce and feta.
The citrus salad is hiding under the thinly sliced radish
OMG GOOD! Whole fried Branzino with what I would call a Thai chili sauce, bbq flavored coating. The fins were like potato chips!
Lamb sausage kebob with charred cauliflower, beans and some sort of sauce. Outstanding!
We also had a Flat rice noodle in peanut sauce with spinach and crunchies in it but I never got a picture.
The food was served family style.
I could live on that fish and the fresh pitas smeared with the harissa.
