30 years ago my first job was bussing tables at the Hoffman House restaurant in Rockford IL. If I’m remembering the details correctly every so often a guy would come in by himself on a Sunday night and have a raw 32 oz. cut of prime rib; he’d call ahead so that it’d be ready and would eat it with au jus on the side and as a full meal including bread, potato, and a visit to the salad bar.
Perhaps he was from Pittsburgh.[;)]
