…  Lorna, you must have had some bad or old chili because it does not taste like green beans and pepper….hahaha… Lorna, those are the Robledo mountains in the background you spoke of in another post.  Hatch is a little beyond them.

We had the green chili at a Mexican Restaurant that was reputed to be the best in town (have you ever been to Socorro?… watch where you eat). It’s not an experience that will be repeated. I just like my enchiladas better. But I’m sure I can’t be near the green chili… Just the smell makes me ill. Been to Las Cruces last year ( fast trip to Sam’s Club to pick up something that the Albuquerque SC’s didn’t carry).  Saw the signs for Hatch (“Hey, that’s the chili place… sure is green”).   We found the “border check” NORTH of Las Cruces … interesting.
