I tend to stick to our tradtional Thanksgiving dinner and have changed only a few things over the years.  Instead of roasting the whole turkey we now smoke two turkey breasts and also do a spiral sliced ham.  Then there’s the mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy, green beans with onions and mushrooms, and corn pudding.  Last year we also did some roasted root vegetables that all really liked.

Even though we’re down here in the South we’re not fans of sweet potatoes or pumpkin so dessert is Italian Cream Cake.
After all of that the leftover turkey goes to make gumbo and the ham for sandwiches – the hambone goes for a pot of pinto beans.
It’s all good.
