For the first time in 22 years…I am not cooking a turkey…my brother-in-law is. Luckily he can cook and I know whatever the heck he does w/ it will be good. I am supplying the bird, a ‘Plaineville’ fresh turkey…in quotes because I found out its Plaineville in name only, the local turkey farm was sold a couple years back and now ‘Plainevilles ‘ are processed by Hain and grown in Pa somewhere…Next year, I’m calling my old free range supplier in Cortland.

My other contribution to the table will be a spiced cranberry/zinfandel sauce…and wine. Looking forward to watching my in-laws sweat the details this year.
