Only one more day. Want to make sure everyone knows this isn’t going on past tomorrow. Haven’t had any special requests other than 2 people asked if I had kraut. My daughter bought about 40 packets of kraut for .25 a piece, 1.5 oz. I don’t know anything about kraut. I guess I could throw it in my steamtable to heat? I can’t afford to give it away as a condiment but It doesn’t seem right to charge for it. I would rather not carry it than offend a customer by asking for an upcharge.I realize this isn’t the way to buy kraut, but my daughter thought it might be a way to test the water. My set up is a 6 inch 1/2 pan to cook dogs and a 6 inch full pan with a 4″ perf for keeping dogs warm and to steam buns. So you can see I haven’t the facilities or do I? I would rather have an overall plan on this, rather than have it one day and not the next. Any thoughts on this? My first planned upgrade to my cart is to add more steam table capacity. Primarily to add nacho cheese, dog chili and bowl chili for colder weather.
Edit: Pretty much screwed up on this. Was supposed to respond to BillyB
In most cases Mustard, relish, kraut, onions should be free condiments. I would up charge for shredded cheese, cheese sauce, chili, and so on…I agree with you on the chili, if you need help on the nachos, let me know. The kraut should be kept hot, but see how the packets work out, I agree .25 ea is way to much. I would add the Chili real soon, and then the nachos the following week, keep them guessing……………take care and good luck tomorrow…………..Billyb
With my setup, how would you recommend adding chili?
