I’ve heard of them but never used one. Looking at their website, they are serious smokers. I guess it just depends on how serious you are about smoking. I’m using a Traeger Junior pellet smoker instead of the gravity fed smokers Stumpy’s make. For home use I find it perfect and at the last competition I was at (Western BBQ Classic) I was told 15% of the competitors are using pellets. food for thought!

I’ve been researching Pellet grills and Pellet Grills ARE becoming more popular. Don’t require as much hands-on attention I guess. 

At the Queen Mary KCBS BBQ Classic last month in Long Beach, CA, one of the pit masters told me that 15 out of the 60 competitors used pellets and he sees the number going up at each competition. Easier, less tending and yields a product that can win competitions!
