You could stop by the downtown Dallas El Fenix and visit w/ Mr. Martinez. He is still there most days, in the bar area, and is always ready to talk Tex Mex. Some say his dad started the whole Tex Mex thing.

I worked for the competition El Chico, but my dad and Alfred were both pilots in WW2, and I have gone there since I was a small child. One of my bros was a Marine pilot and we had a nice visit w/ Mr. Martinez a year or so ago. He also does magic tricks for the kids. Just ask for a seat in the bar area if he is there.
