In the early 70’s, I was dating a girl that was a big Elvis fan. When he played Madison Square Garden, she got us tickets. This was his period of big band, platoon of back-up singers & white jump suits. While he was in fine voice & still had all the moves, I remember it less as a concert & more as some sort of cult religious ceremony. He must have thrown at least 3 dozen red scarves out to the audience.
