Glad you had fun and learned. But have to say, after the fry thead it is refreshing to know that people do frozen fries. Each has there place.
If I wanted POMME FRITZ would have ordered them.
I bet for your area a burger or sandwich that is ‘Top Shelf’, they just want fries.
I have to tell you, that when everyone asked about what kind of fry’s we would be cooking when we opened we always said “fresh hand cut”. But when we started to do that of course the cutter was not in yet so we tried to cut them by hand and that was a horror show!couldnt get them unifom enough so they all cooked evenly, tried blanching on low for few min. then crisping that didnt work for me, of course I was nervouis as hell as nothing was working people would be getting there, so I slipped down to publix and bought 2, 5 lb. bags of frozen, We told all before we started that the only way we were going to do well was for everyone to be honest.about what the food tasted like, If there was a problem let us know, and they did , some had a problem with the onions and peppers, when I tried to grill the hamburg buns they got a little greasy cause i gottem to close on the grill, but the burgers were great! but they all said the fries were great ! LOL don’t know if they thought they were hand cut or not??by the way I put them in a 250 boat heaped up and every one said man thats allot a fries !!wow !!you gonna serve this much ?? yup “spuds are cheap” he he he
