…that is pretty funny!
i know i’ve communcated with my family more since joining FB last spring than in the previous 20 years together. i am also getting to watch my grand kid in SC grow through pictures. i can’t say i have never met a girl there! i met one recently who is very nice and lives sort of near me. we would have never met in person, but since we share some interests our paths crossed on fb.
i just got a friend request the other day from a lady i really liked and worked with close to 10 years ago. it was fun catching up.
TV is not for me. Facebook is where i get my morning weather forecast. the local morning weather guyi on my friends list and posts it early before i sit down with my coffee and toast. i can see quickly if in need to look into the weather further.
on more than one occasion i knew my sales were going to be low that day, so i posted a plea for customers and people i know on fb came by and bought a dog for lunch! lol
until reading and posting in this thread, i didn’t really think about how much i really use it….
I totally agree about how great facebook is for keeping up with my family. My kids, all 4 of them, are on facebook, posting photos, video etc. Even though we are all in the same general location, Facebook allows me to follow them closely.
I have also connected with other family. It is especially great to make contact with cousins that I grew up with. We reminisce, share what’s happening now. When returning from a visit to my mom, I had lunch with 2 cousins, we already have a date next fall to make apple butter ouside in my great grandmother’s copper pot!
