Just received an order of common crackers from Vermont Country Store, a food site and store recommended in the 500 Things to Eat book by jane and Michael Stern. Mixed them with milk and a hunk of cheddar(local Tillamook instead of Vermont). It was a tasty treat though I was not overwhelmed by it. A different taste than oyster crackers though it is obvious that oyster crackers are a descendant of the common cracker. Again it is an interesting regional taste that roadfood introduced me to. And it was only ten bucks including a nice storage tin that I will reuse.
