I tried Denny’s this evening….thoroughly unimpressed.
The place itself is very nice, service was good, but the burger was not impressive at all.
I ordered the:
PENNSYLVANIA BEER BARREL BURGER
1/2 lb. ground beef, seasoned in beer with other
spices, topped with beer-braised onions and grilled
mushrooms, two crisp strips of bacon and Swiss
cheese……………………………………………………$ 5.99I asked for the burger to be cooked medium and was told that all burgers are prepared medium well. My burger was a small, dry, flattened, well done piece of meat, lost on an over sized kaiser roll. The topping were scarce, very scarce.
The wings were very good, as was the list of beer on tap. But I think a burger place, above all, should put out a good burger.
Oh man, you got the burger I got the first time we stopped there; not the toppings, but the unimpressive burger. I think I gave it a B-.
