I put a pan on the grill, get it hot fill it with onions, top them with alot of coke and caramelize those suckers.  Just Coke (maybe Pepsi) Dr. Pepper is weird for this.  By all means cheat!  If you’re doing any kind of volume you don’t have time to traditionally caramelize those things.  People love them.
