Nancy Palooza — you mentioned refectories earlier, and I know you get near La Crosse sometimes.  The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe is a new thing here, just a couple years old, and is in a beautiful setting in the country just outside of town. 

Can hit on the link and scroll down for the restaurant.  They are known for their generous sandwiches, and the small but excellent bakery.  We stop often to see what kind of bread they are baking that day; there is usually a good loaf of something dense and hearty.  Their cakes and cookies are excellent as well.
