BB, because Wisconsin relies heavily on tourism all bears have been trained to stop and pose for photos when asked so there’s never a reason to settle for a blurry image.  Unfortunately I didn’t think to give you this advice before your visit.[}:)]

Brad, thanks so much for this useful information.  If only I had known.  Now, the bear was making a beeline away from us.  How do I go about asking it to pose? Do I chase it into the woods, maybe, luring it with cheese curds?

Somehow I am reminded of the Gilbert Gottfried joke whose punchline is something to the effect of “you don’t come here for the hunting, do you?”
