I noticed that Sams Club café sells Nathans hotdogs and buns by the case. Anyone sell or have any experience with Nathans. The people who work the counter are not too versed in the re-selling aspect of the business. From what I gathered 160 ¼ pound franks for $83.95 and 96 buns for $16.95.
Nathan’s is a very good product and as Billy stated, great nat’l brand recognition. Do you get Nathan’s in your local grocery stores?
One of the reasons we stick with Sabrett and Vienna Beef and now Thumann’s is that they are not available (widely) at the local retailers.
Depends on your customer mix. We have a lot of transplanted Midwesterners and New Yorkers that recognize these brands and are willing to pay a premium for a “hometown” hot dog.
In either case, you won’t go wrong with a Nathan’s product.
Wish they sold them (Nathan’s) in our local Sam’s Club – they carry Hebrew National 4-1s – another quality hot dog.
