I didn’t see any memorials. I’ve never been to Chris Madrid’s before so to me it seemed like business as usual. I remember hearing about his passing before I left for my trip but forgot about it when I was there.
When I visited El Gallo in Austin 7 years ago, they too had goat on the menu. I had Tex-Mex Fajitas on the brain for months. So I knew what I wanted, besides I had Goat Curry at Kebab n Kurry here in Providence last year.
Yes there most certainly is a beef patty underneath that molten layer of cheese and the flavor of that beef commanded itself quite well along with the beavy of other ingredients.
I’ll admit, I used a fork and knife at first until it was manageable to lift by hand.
You are correct about the beans- however I’ve never seen beans served that way at the Sonoran Style restaurants in Arizona.
