I’m pretty certain Cleveland Cav’s got their money’s worth on Lebron.

If money was his goal, he would not have gone to the Heat.

I don’t care either way where he went. Makes no difference to me, since I don’t care for NBA basketball. However, you got it wrong Russ. He went to Miami to be part of a team that would win championships. He already excelled at Cleveland. He got paid, sure, but the owner made money from him as well. It’s not a one way street. They pay those players that kind of money because they make more than that kind of money on the players.

He would’ve been paid more if he stayed in Cleveland, than the contract he’s getting in Miami.

We’ll see if the Cleveland owner pulls through on his promise to Cleveland, to get them an NBA Championship, before Lebron gets one in Miami. Either way, Lebron gave Cleveland a big boost. They were a complete joke of a team before he got there (they probably would’ve moved to another city if it weren’t for Lebron), now they’re a contender and the owner has money now to buy other players, something he never wouldn’ve been able to do without Lebron playing there the past several years.

I have nothing against him going to Miami. It was 100% his right. He is an amazing talent. My retort was that he did not handle it correctly. Rarely do we see entertainers do it. He did not suprise me with his method of departure. My point was that he has no respect for the game nor its history or fans. He was leaving his home town. It is a rare thing when a fortunate son stays home and accomplishes greatness. The few greats that have like Magic, Jordan, Bird, Russell, Dr J,  Ruth, Mantle, Mays, Cobb, etc have been and always be associated with their cities as the greats. LeBron had the opportunity to be one of these and decided not to. He had an entire city behind him. A city that really needed it. He threw the towell in and set up a stacked team to aquire championships. I dont think he thought about his decision and its ramifacitions. Bought Championships are not earned. It appears that he has never had a great role model in his life. Nobody taught him how to act like or be a Man. He certainly did not learn from his Mother. Personally I don’t think he will be a champion in Florida. If you can’t see yourself through the eyes of others you will always be a loser…Russ
