I read the whole thing. I don’t find laughing at murder to be in good taste. Speaking of reading carefully, you should read my posts. If you had, you’d see I got the soccer connection, but don’t find it in good taste.

You can rationalize it all you want. The opening post jokingly said it’s justifiable that he was beaten to death. I don’t find that kind of joke to be in good taste when the article is about a murder. I’m not saying MH, you or anybody here condones murder. (ok Joe? – got it?) What I have said, is that I find joking about a murder that took place to be disgusting. The man was beaten to death. Apparently, as you put it, “most people” see the humor in that. Frankly, I don’t.

I think, if you read my posts, you’ll see that I had some family murdered (by a beating and stabbing by the way) for something as equally as ludicrous of a reason, and I have been the victim of a brutal attack. I don’t give two flying craps about why someone did it, I think it’s sick to joke about it.

I look at that article and am saddened by the state of affairs this world is in, that people kill and maim each other over stupid things like what’s on television, if your team wins the NBA championship, etc, etc. etc. And to me, it’s no laughing matter.

Some person hurts themself doing something stupid, we seem to see the humor in it. It’s kid of an ironic humor, dark humor. We may identify that the result is just, in a way. The result is almost as if the gods are there providing instantaneous justice to what is wrong. Skateboard with no knee pads, break a knee. That sort of thing. I get it. The whole gene pool thing.

But, this is a case where people were fighting over a remote control and killed a person over it. I’m too worn out of violence to laugh at it. Why aren’t you?
