I was at the North Market earlier and stopped by Jeni’s.  Hard to believe that I’ve been at Nationwide Arena literally hundreds of times and have never gone to the place that combines two of my favorite things….ice cream and weird combinations.
 
I sampled the Bangkok peanut and Queen City cayenne (both of which were excellent), but went for a waffle cone with a Riesling Poached Pear sorbet.  In addition to outstanding flavor, it even had the texture of a fresh pear.  I’m fairly certain this is the only time in my life that I’ve bought ice cream and then walked into snow falling outside.
