Surprised no one has mentioed the Hearthstone on US 52 in Metamora. Some of the best Ive ever had. Not far from Oldenburg, where Wagners is also really good. If you could be in the area for the Canoefest, they have a frying contest and you could sample some great chicken. There are so many places around here its hard to choose.
