Thanks Quickdog your right, they don’t need to know what the costs are for just charge a rate. Like the past threads have said people don’t know what goes into running a hot dog cart. I’m learning there are a lot more costs than I ever would have thought. Yes, people might think there just hot dogs, but quality dogs served professionally. The best thing is they don’t have to deal with the mess!!!
Here’s an example of what I do. It may not be right for everyone or every market but take it with a grain of salt. I do these all day long.
$275.00 minimum includes – 2 hrs of service 1 server within a 20 mile radius of my home base
50 all beef hot dogs with mustard, ketchup, mayo, kraut, chopped onions, chili, jalapenos, pickle relish and shredded cheese
50 assorted soft drinks (Coke, Diet Coke, Orange, Sprite)
50 1 oz bags of chips
that’s enough for 50 “meals” or $5 per person
