Hi tasty, try heating the links in a ziploc bag and holding them (in the bag) either with the dogs or the buns. The sausage is cooked, should heat well in the bag and you will not over season your hot dog water with hot greasy sausage residue……….take care….Billyb
Going to try that tonight. Also going to experiment boiling the two together and see if it affects the dogs.
Rod-That’s what this forum is for, to get good advice from experienced people that have been there before. I’m not lazy. Do I ever have to ask anybody’s opinion? No. Would I be in better shape if I’d never participated in this forum, definately not. It always irritates me when someone says find out yourself and don’t ‘bother’ asking questions. This is a place to ask opinions and trade info. I will take the time to answer any newbie’s question if I think I have something useful to offer. That’s what people like BillyB have done for me. If it doesn’t ‘bother’ Billy, I don’t see why it should bother you. So if I want to ask a question and someone feels like they don’t mind taking the time to help, I don’t think I or anyone else should be told not to ‘bother’.
PapaJoe8- I agree grilling would be better if I had a grill. I’ve only nuked ’em and might find boiling doesn’t work. Will know after tonite.
Thanks to everyone
