I thought by your post you had already boiled them.
When I started in March I found a really good dog guy.
Best buns I have ever had, great wieners, hot Italian sausage.
When I steamed the sausage it tasted like you just emptied the pepper shaker in your mouth.
When I told him he couldn’t believe it, never had a complaint.
I asked him if it was the steam and he didn’t know, they all grill them.
So I tried his medium Italian, they were perfect, nice spice, good snap, my customers love them. Some do want more heat but I can’t do it, no grill.
I tried Johnsonville they didn’t work either.
I can hold them in steam for 3 hours at 165, hot and juicy.
Wieners and sausages go in together, no problem.
