$500 in sales =
sales tax= $45
Rent $100
Labor 20% = $100..
Payroll Taxes 15%= $15
Food cost 30% =$150
paper cost 8% $40
Just to name a few of the big ones……………$500 in sales – $450= $50 but there are other things to take into account that add up. Do a basic P&L like I just did, punch in the numbers and see what you need to do to make a profit. The way I lowered my cost in a B&M is to work most of it myself so every labor dollar saved is in my pocket.
