I use Sabrett they are a big hot dog in NY and NJ i use the 8-1 They cost me $15.25 for 40 hot dogs at resturant depot.But they always put them on sale for $13.25 for 40 dogs. What dogs are you slinging? And do you do slaw dogs i tried them here can’t get them to catch on i think they are great.
Hey bud, best wishes to you. I’m curious about your response to the 8-1 skinless. I couldn’t even use the 10-1 sabrett natural casing because the casing was too thick. My dogs are super hot @190 degrees and people were biting but not cutting. A few light hot dog stings as a result. So I roll with the traditional NYC 11-1 and everyone tells me how perfect they are. I’m 13 mo into business and the numbers consistently go up, so I believe them.
But I know a guy who made millions in 10yrs with the big Thuman dogs. At his peak he was doing 4000 dogs/wk! I tried the 8-1 Sabrett skinless at a few events and no one remarked. I’d like to hear your thoughts.
