Could someone please help me?????  My husband and I have been doing some research in the hot dog vending carts business and are in a perfect position, financially and career-wise, to invest all of our time and energy into opening our cart!! We called around our area, which is Mckinney, Tx, and found that almost nowhere allows carts.  Frisco, Tx, however, said they allowed it, along with Dallas.  We were so excited that we bought our cart, and are waiting on it to arrive.  The problem is that all week we  have been driving around Frisco looking and asking for locations.  We thought that we could always fall back on Home Depot or Lowe’s through Street Eats.  Then we discovered that both are already taken in Frisco!!!  We went just about everywhere we could think of in Frisco and asked, they all turned us down.  I thought the location would be the least of our obstacles.  We have started looking into Dallas at Home Depots and Lowes, but most are taken, and the rest don’t seem to allow it. ( I’m not about to put in an application and pay $50 to Street Eats just to be told no)  Does anyone have any suggestions where we can set up a regular location in Frisco, Texas???  You would think more business owners would be more open to this, it does help their business!  What can we do to find a spot?  What should we say when we ask, should we offer money????  I am starting to panic because we already bought the cart and have invested a lot into this.  Did we make a mistake?  I am really excited and passionate about this opportunity and I think it would be great for the community.  Should we just stick to events and catering?  Are we even gonna be able to do that?  Someone please help us figure out where and how to get a good, regular location.  Any suggestions will help!  We are even willing to travel.

Lapdogs, at the risk of sounding rude…you put the cart before the horse.  You purchased a cart already??  I wouldn’t be worried about the $50 more so that I would be the purchase price of the cart.  Keep looking for a spot…assuming you have already visited the health department.  You really should have done your homework before purchasing a cart.  Good Luck…DD
