Interesting, I was just reading an article where in thiland 40% of the energy consumed by people is from food carts.
Do you think maybe this might be the reasion there are so many unnessary regulations, the B&M s have organised associations with lobyists and have millions to spend, we mobile food vendors have no organisation that wants to do any thing but take your money. One anti street vending org. in new york alone has 47 employees and a 16 mill a year budget.
Is there some need for regulation, of course there is some people are just plain too stupid to not be regulated, and some others are just larcenist at hart, but for the most part the customer will regulate who stays and who goes. We don’t need more regulators or more regulation, what we need is food minders, just like meter maids who keep an eye out for lazy or vendors who have no business in business.
allow hot dogs but not balogna, or sausage patties, ham, or whatever. the same heat will hold those at proper temps just as well as dogs.
To ban cheese and chili, lol, hey folks we are serving hot dogs here. You can have mayo but not cole slaw.
Some cities just ban carts outright, the reasion, we just don’t want them here.
I posted a proposal on the dog site to see if there was any intrest in a face book or web site to ban us together and work together on these problems, dozens of reads, not one responce, that my friends is the problem.
“we must all hang together or we will surely all hang seperatly.” I believe that was Ben Franklin or Patrick Henery 250 yrs ago.
